I’ve been getting lots of press releases about exciting Easter egg hunts to take place from Friday 29 March till Monday 1 April 2013, and these are the ones that caught my attention.
A trail of riddles and clues will give you the chance to explore the grounds of two of Bristol’s most beautiful parklands before getting creative and decorating a bunny or duck-shaped egg cup.
For Blaise Castle meet next to the Children’s Play Area
For Ashton Court meet in the Stable Courtyard outside the cafe
At the end, collect your chocolate egg and a rabbit or duck-shaped egg cup to decorate. Materials will be supplied and there will be a competition for the very best design.
See www.mandysmake.com for details.
For Design Museum’s Alternative Easter Egg hunt in London SE1 2YD, a printed trail will guide you throughout the museum’s current exhibitions, giving you the chance to discover design stories “tracing the history and processes of contemporary design” and 2012’s most innovative and imaginative designs from around the world while collecting clues. Once you’ve cracked all the clues you’ll be rewarded with a mini chocolate egg courtesy of luxury chocolatier Rococo Chocolates. Yum!

Over at the Trentham Estate on the edge of Stoke-on-Trent there are Easter Egg hunts for every sensibility, from a sedate search at Trentham Gardens, collecting clues around the Gardens and lake before claiming a prize courtesy of Delicious, to the Egg-citing Easter Trail at Trentham Monkey Forest, when the 140 freeroaming resident Barbary macaque monkeys will be joined by Easter bunnies, to Aerial Extreme‘s Easter Egg Race (Sunday 31 March only), challenging participants to grab a raw egg from Barbara the chicken and then race around a high rope adventure course without breaking it!
Which will you choose?
