What better way to spend a dreary December afternoon than by indulging in an opulent vintage tea party? Dressed in floral tea dresses (challenging in this weather!) we traipsed over to the Aix-en-Provence Room at Bath Guildhall in Bath, where with vintage party specialists Pop Up Parlour and The Secret Tea Party awaited to help us celebrate with birthday girl Lyn.
In turns we had our hair and make up fixed up in glamorous 1940s style, while the rest of us supped bubbly from saucer-style glasses and nibbled sandwiches and delicious cakes served by Ella and Catherine.
We also has the opportunities to have our egos pampered as we posed winsomely (some more willingly than others!) for lovely photographer Marcus Way.
Sarah from Pop Up Parlour, gave Julia temptress curls, then transformed my usual curls into this fabulous sculpture, scandalising my lips with vivid scarlet and vamping me into a far more feminine version of myself.
We all felt utterly foxy!
An afternoon to remember. Now, how to recreate this look day to day??
Happy Birthday Lyn!
